Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 August 2026
The short version. This website sets no cookies at all. It stores one item in your browser’s local storage, and only after you answer the notice on your first visit. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind on this site.
This website is operated by Pickydata Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17321960, whose registered office is at Flat A, 51 Tredegar Street, Newport NP10 8RJ. This policy explains what is stored on your device when you visit, and what to do about it.
1Cookies and the law
Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 — PECR — requires your consent before anything that is not strictly necessary is stored on or read from your device. That covers cookies and equivalent technologies such as local storage. Strictly necessary items, which are the ones without which a feature you asked for cannot work, do not need consent, but we still list them below.
2Categories, and what this site actually uses
| Category | What it means | Used here? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Needed for the site to work or to remember a choice you made about privacy. | Yes — one local-storage item, listed below. |
| Analytics / performance | Counting visitors, measuring pages and traffic sources. | No. There is no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Plausible, Matomo or equivalent on this site. |
| Advertising / marketing | Building an advertising profile, retargeting, conversion tracking. | No. No Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no advertising network. |
| Functional / preference | Remembering settings such as language or layout. | No, beyond the necessary item below. |
3The one item we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
datsoft_cookie_consent |
Local storage (not a cookie — it is never sent to our server) | Records whether you pressed Accept or Decline on the notice, so it stops asking on every page. | Until you clear this site’s data in your browser. |
It holds one word, accepted or declined. It contains nothing that identifies
you, it is not read by anyone else, and it never leaves your browser. Declining does not reduce anything
about how the site works — there is nothing behind the consent to switch off.
4Third-party requests this page makes
No third party sets a cookie or reads storage through this site. Two external networks are contacted by your browser to fetch files, and any website you visit reveals your IP address and browser string to the servers it fetches from:
| Network | What it serves | Storage set |
|---|---|---|
| Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry) | The Cabinet Grotesk and Satoshi typefaces used on this site. | None. |
| Cloudflare cdnjs | The GSAP animation library used for the scroll effects. | None. |
Neither is loaded for tracking purposes, and neither receives any information you type into the enquiry form. There are no embedded maps, videos, chat widgets or social buttons on this site, so none of the usual third-party cookies that come with them are present either.
5Changing or withdrawing your answer
To make the notice appear again, or to remove the stored answer entirely, clear this site’s data in your browser:
- Chrome / Edge: padlock icon in the address bar → Cookies and site data → Manage on-device site data → Delete.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → find datsoft.uk → Remove.
- Firefox: padlock icon → Clear cookies and site data.
Your browser’s own settings can also block storage from this or any site entirely. Doing so does not break anything here; you will simply be asked again on each visit. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done beforehand.
6Related policies and contact
Personal data submitted through the enquiry form is covered by our Privacy Policy, which also explains your rights under the UK GDPR and how to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.ico.org.uk. Our service terms are in our Terms & Conditions.
